800 capacity Looking forward to a nice intimate venue and a new town for me. Also planning train back to Birmingham afterwards - 23.12 seems to be the option so hoping it's a 9.00 stage time! Alifeasaghost - as Captain says, it is indeed simple. Up close with the best live band I'd say not to worry about going to a gig on your own. You'll be in the company of others who are doing the same. Roadmender is only a 5 minute walk from the railway station so shouldn’t be a problem with trains. I’ve read differing numbers for the capacity of the venue. I’m not sure if it was reduced at some point. It’ll certainly be one of the smallest venues they have played in the UK for years.

the pandemic took their headline slot (in 2020 they were heavily rumoured to headline the JP stage) btw we will also get good recordings from Pinkpop and Rock Werchter for sure

My friends in France just told me they covered Killer by Seal at the Art Rock soundcheck and it sounded great! Hope they’ll play it tonight

So that Romanian festival they were due to play next weekend has moved to 18-19 August after Sam Smith (one of their headliners) cancelled. They have a new headliner too: Jason Derulo. Yes really. In the year of our lord 2023.

Is anybody going to the gig on Wednesday? If so is it possible to film some videos or record audio? I’d love to hear a full version of Killer - I wonder if they’ll perform it again?

I’ll probably only film a couple of short vids though, never film full songs. Excited to see what else will be in the setlist and if they’ll be anymore surprises, guess it’ll be basically what they played in France but at least half an hour longer

I'd imagine it will be a set still fairly heavy on material from EBM along with older classic material. I'd certainly hope there is plenty of newer material given that I'd guess this summer's dates are the last time they'll be touring this record before they start on a new album.

Looking forward to it.
Hoping we might hear Educate as I don't think it's been played live (?) and then that would be all of EBM live for me.
Always hoping for something different - not playing Smokers in France last month for the first time in many gigs was interesting.
I'm not fussed about covers like Killer but would love a new mix of an old song like You Are Fading.
