Supporting James at Darlington Arena on 5th August. I hope that's not the only UK date they do this summer. Not really a fan of James and the North East is too far and expensive to go to for just a support set.

I love James and Maximo Park, so that's a real hat-trick of a lineup for me - but still, a long way to travel!

I love James and Maximo Park, so that's a real hat-trick of a lineup for me - but still, a long way to travel! Maximo Park are always really good value live. I'd happily see James if it was a going to be a singles set but I don't think they're that type of band. I looked at tickets and the first batch are only £40 which is astoundingly good value considering the set of bands on. If it was in Newcastle I would've gone as I could get a cheap coach there and back but Darlington is too inaccessible from Birmingham without staying over or an expensive train. A 'hometown' gig or even just a night out in London would be delightful this summer. I don't blame them for not doing festivals in the UK if they aren't getting the same billing as they do in Europe. Just one more headline show would be amazing though!

Surprising choice of town to play in. Not complaining though, it’s good to be somewhere with a direct train back to Birmingham afterwards. Don’t think I’ve been to Roadmenders before so looking forward to trying a new venue.

800 capacity  Looking forward to a nice intimate venue and a new town for me. Also planning train back to Birmingham afterwards - 23.12 seems to be the option so hoping it's a 9.00 stage time! Alifeasaghost - as Captain says, it is indeed simple. Up close with the best live band I'd say not to worry about going to a gig on your own. You'll be in the company of others who are doing the same.

If it was nearer to where I live(or was during uni time so I’d be in Birmingham) I would go on my own,I live near Portsmouth so a bit hard to get to 😅 Also is it really only 800 capacity? When I googled it earlier it said 1200
