Hmmmm I was just thinking, as Pukkelpop is a headline show and they haven’t played a gig since last March, they might do 1 or 2 warm up gigs- or maybe I’m just hoping there’s a small chance of me seeing them this year…

Pukkelpop has been cancelled. Here's the official statement: rant:
It's a fucking mess. They're trying to blame the government for "suddenly" changing the rules re: testing those who aren't fully vaccinated, but they didn't change that much, and of course the festival has been in conversation with them for months. So don't be fooled. I mean, they thought 7k tests per day would be enough?? Not saying I'm brilliant at maths, but even under the old rules, that seems like a ridiculously low capacity to me.
It looks like they didn't really try. Like they took the government subsidy they got to make the festival happen and low-key hoped the government would cancel it. Screwing over their audience, the artists, and two governments (1 gave the subsidy, the other one they're blaming) in the process. wow.

its sad for those taking part and attending but the only surprise in all this was that they even announced it was going ahead.
they will try look blameless so that fans etc will have selective memory next year and forget their current rage and flock back to it
