I can already see myself a year (or more?) from now still singing Forgiveness my way with some lyrics completely off just because I had months to get used to my version before we got the official booklet  That being said, I'm completely okay with memorizing the lyrics twoheartedspider posted. I need to sing along to the bootleg and any sort of lyrics will do!

Yay, great job! The forum is really neat and well organized and I prefer having several separate threads To keep this on topic, the YouTube video Tom linked to in his tweet currently has 12341 views (and it's been ten days since it was first posted) and 221 likes (and no thumbs down at all ) and the other, incomplete version has 316 views and three likes.

Here's my take...
The verse before the mistake - no idea.
I think the line in the prechorus is: "The line in the sand they draw for everyone" - edit - "ain't drawn for everyone" makes more sense in the context of the next line.
The flag in your hand don't make you American/Stripping your soul back be forever young... etc.
Wake up, walk home, you are alone
The world you're in's too heavy
Soak your skin in love & sin
You fall, you're like confetti... ?
That sounds weird but I really can't hear anything like "before the light comes fading".

Forgiveness was included in the 1 hour broadcast of the Rolling Stone Weekender by radio station Pure FM yesterday (I was too surprised that they were actually broadcasting a HQ recording of this and couldn't record because my laptop was turned off, sorry!) it sounded bloody fantastic and after hearing this I'm pretty sure it's
"the line in the sand ain't drawn for everyone" and not "like the sun ain't drawn for everyone" (but note that i'm a total disaster at recognising lyrics so I might still be off)

It´s still a confusing song, but the official Rolling Stone Weekender recordings make it easier to understand. Given this newly discovered line I assume that in the very first verse anything is now possible. Do you believe Forgiveness will be the first single? I feel that the final version could have a Honesty-like arrangement to it, with strings to give it an epic sound. The chorus has everything to make it happen, just imagine.
