After familiarizing myself enough with the other tracks, so Hallelujah and Magazine don't stick out (because I played each about 30 times before the album) - THIS ALBUM IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE! I'm already curious what their next move and sound is, but oh boy, this band is on fire!
One thing I wouldn't mind is if they put out a remix or two, like Matthew Dear's of Sugar or Timothy J. Fairplay's of Honesty - those were damn good.

I wonder if somehow we'll get a remix or something, where Counting Spook's last half is extended. I absolutely love it. If I had the time & more experience, I'd try to somehow remix and just make it go on for a little longer.

In my humble opinion E6 is neither fish nor fowl! For now...

Darkness At The Door will be the next single apparently! 2018 and we have Editors with their new bubblegum pop single on friendship hitting the airwaves. Never saw that one coming. I just don't get this track to be honest. Its not about it being upbeat and a pop song. Of coarse good bands can be versatile across many genres. This one is wrong time wrong place and wrong song for mine.

Was there as much volatility towards Papillion? Not because of how different it was for band like Editors but because of how accessible that track was?

My copy of the cd boxset just arrived and the artwork looks bloody amazing, love it. It's weird though, the numbers on the inserts should be the song length in seconds but it's wrong for Hallelujah, Belong and The Pulse

Been hiking in the mountains of Gran Canaria the last three days and had ‘Violence’ accompany me. Really impressed; it’s euphoric. Only tracks that haven’t quite clicked with me yet are ‘Darkness at the Door’ and ‘Counting Spooks’, but I love all the other tracks.

One quick question; does anybody know if they plan to make the bonus version available on Spotify. I bought the red vinyl, and other than record I stream rather than cds or downloads, so I haven't been able to hear the bonus tracks as yet.

I think 'Violence' and 'Belong' will easily make it in to my top 10 Editors tracks - love both.

A bit annoyed the bonus vinyl album doesn’t contain the bonus tracks? A bit of a con to be honest

I'm a bit disappointed in the sound quality of the deluxe vinyl that I have, I think I am going to file a complaint about it. It really misses loudness and clarity, I have to turn up my volume button quite a lot to get the sound to be loud enough, and then the drums and bass are much louder than the vocals. I also have the deluxe cd, I played it on the same audio setup and it sounds perfect! Everything that was wrong with the sound on the vinyl, was right on the cd. I don't know what went wrong there, normally the vinyl sounds better than the cd. It has nothing to do with my setup, I am using a pretty expensive turntable.
EDIT: Just sent an email to the Editors online store about this issue. If you are having the same issue, please do this too. It is not my aim to get my money back or anything, but if all the records sound like this they really should look into what went wrong with the production of the (red) vinyl. This is just not how it should sound!
