Do they have any media presence (radio backing) in Australia beyond Neighbours using No Harm as occasional mood music? Seriously?? 😮 Yeah a couple of times in the past couple of years, they've used No Harm as backing music during moody edgy things. One was the hotel collapsed, trapping and killing several characters, and the other was IIRC around a cancer diagnosis. I'm also 99% certain I'm the only person to have spotted this. If you didn't know it was an Editors song, you'd have no idea. It really suits the scene every time. I have a clip of three men fixing a toy boat to Forgiveness too, if that floats your... wait.

Sounds like a UK Tour is doubtful so I would put my life on them not touring the US or Oz

268 tickets left for the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (Yes, I counted them!). So, 16732 tickets sold!

Got my Warrington tickets booked this morning. Had a mass panic when they seemed to be all sold out after about 3 minutes but then came back on sale.
I'm sure an announcement about the UK tour must be due fairly soon. If they are to play over here in early March then I'd expect tickets to go on sale before Christmas. Lots of other bands are announcing spring tours now. Even though European tours are clearly far more profitable for them now, which is fair enough, there is no way they would release a new album in the UK with no live dates at all to promote it.

Isn't May a bit more likely? Even if the album is released on the first Friday of March (the 2nd), there would be some album launch shows between let's say 26/2 and 3/3. The actual tour could start a couple of days later, but the first mainland Euro date is the 17th already so that would seem a little crammed (or the number of UK shows would be really low)

It’s difficult to know. They’ve always normally started tours with UK dates then moved on to mainland Europe. My personal feeling is that it will be a relatively short UK tour taking in the main gig cities (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol and maybe a couple of others) in early March. I may be wrong though.
I get the feeling they much prefer playing abroad these days. European crowds are far more into their newer music. In terms of recent UK festivals they are sinking down the bills and the turn out for Beyond The Tracks was disappointing. It saddens me as a huge Editors fan but they need to capitalise on their European success. I’m sure i’ll see them a few times next year anyway. It would just be good to know sooner rather than later. Got tickets for a few gigs now, particularly with Nada Surf and Alvvays touring, but have been consciously keeping early March free.
