Editors are literally the only non headline act on that line-up I know. Some of those band names are quite surreal: The Lottery Winners. The Egg. MC Teabag. Clumsy. idlewhite and Slow readers club have some pretty good songs -you really should check them out and Angelic upstarts and Stiff Little Fingers were punkbands late 70's - begin 80's yeah I know Idlewild, mistook them as a headliner. I've heard of the Slow Readers Club because they sometimes get mentioned as "band that sound like Editors" but I've never checked them out

Festival only years suck. It can be a horrible tease. You know they are playing, you so want to see them, but, short sets, no day tickets, high prices are just some of the issues standing in your way. I would actually rather them just have a down year chilling or in the studio as opposed to a smattering of festivals.

I thought they were ok but nothing that I'd feel the need to investigate further.

It's not such an issue if they are headlining but if they aren't then it is a lot to pay if you aren't too fussed about the headliners. Sadly they're not of a status in the UK now where they are likely to be top of the bill at many festivals. We've been lucky to have them headlining Beyond The Tracks and Godiva in the last couple of years. I imagine the ones they do next summer over here will generally be where they are second or third on the bill.

Nothing on the official website !! Tell me something new... Nothing on Twitter either, not even on Facebook in France apparently. It's like they don't even want to sell tickets Really quite lost as to what the marketing strategy behind this is supposed to be.

Does anyone know how long these sets typically are and if there's a live stream anywhere?

I'm sure last time they played Union Chapel in 2014 it was filmed.
I guess Tom's set would maybe be about half an hour. I think I may go to this one. On the occasions I've seen Editors and Smith&Burrows at Union Chapel it's been excellent. The acoustics are really good there.

Very enjoyable set from Tom at the Union Chapel. Good to hear a couple of older tracks and some covers he'd not done before. The set he did was: Blood (piano) All The Kings (piano) Bullets Outdoor Type (Lemonheads cover) With Andy Burrows: New Smith & Burrows song (not sure of the title, may have been the one they did before Christmas, very good anyway) Walk The Fleet Road You Got It (Roy Orbison cover)
Overall it was a very good night. The Union Chapel is a superb venue and good to hear some really stripped back sets from artists. Glad I went down for it on what was an absolutely freezing cold day.
