Hi all, new here. Just wanted to say how great I thought Leeds O2 was last night. Anyone else stood stage right near the arse who talked all the way through? I mean ALL the way through. What's the eticate on that? Would you tell them to stfu? Looking back I wish I had.

Really looking forward to the Norwich gig tonight. First time i’ve been to gig over this way. Saturday night in Leeds was superb, they seem to be on a real roll now and Tom seems properly back to full health. I think this last leg of British tour will be pretty special.

Oh dear, the sound is shit tonight. I thought Talos sounded a bit weak. It’s not picked up for Editors. It just sounds a bit muffled. Not like the ‘blow your head off’ of Manchester, Brum and Leeds.

Seems to be the same set list as Leeds. Brighton and Brixton will be amazing. This is just so meh. I can’t remember going to a venue with such poor sound. Such a shame when Tom is fully well and in great voice.

ManfromDelMonte...
My partner & I are in Brighton nursing tea and trying to figure out the cost of going to all 12 uk dates.
Can you put us out of our misery and tell us? Would be interesting to know the overall financial cost of the jaunt - hotels, travel, food, tickets, drinks etc included.
Of course, you don’t have to share this!
Bring on the Brighton leg!!!

Well tickets, hotels and travel cost about £1100. That has been staying at Premier Inns and Travelodges. Trains and coaches were all booked months in advance so got good deals on them. Not sure in terms of spending money but not spent as much as I originally thought. I’ve eaten out every night though and had a few drinks most nights. I’d estimate somewhere around £1900-£2000. To be fair that is for a fortnight’s holiday, going out every night, doing trips during the day (when not travelling) and have covered entire length of England and Scotland. It’s been well worth doing.
That also includes a night in Oxford on Thursday as well to watch Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever to finish the holiday off.

Looking at that, it does beat an all inclusive in some soulless resort somewhere!
I admire you commitment. Is there any other bands you’d do this for?
Hope Brighton is good for us, I’ve heard great things about the venue

That must be fun! Does it at all get boring seeing the same setlist? Do you watch Takis every night too? I guess you notice more about each performance each night.
How was Brighton for everyone? I loved it! It felt like it took the crowd a while to warm up but I didn’t care about that. First time seeing the Violence songs live and was very impressed! Such powerful songs/sounds. Darkness At The Door was particularly impressive and they seem to really enjoy playing that one. Actually made some of The Back Room songs feel a bit tired. Although I thought Bullets sounded awesome!

Good way-too-early morning! Just woke up to AEHAS playing on the radio to leave for London. Really looking forward to tonight! See some of you there maybe (I’m the small one)

Hope Brighton is good for us, I’ve heard great things about the venue While I occasionally go away for a couple of days to maybe watch certain bands on tour for 2 or 3 dates there is no-one else I would watch on such an extensive basis as Editors. Thought last night was brilliant. The difference in venue between UEA and the Dome was huge. I saw the lads here in 2013 but had forgotten what a beautiful building it is inside. Great acoustics. It reminds of a slightly smaller version of Royal Albert Hall. As has been said elsewhere, I agree that the crowd took a little while to get going but generally seemed very appreciative. Towards the end it was particularly hot and sweaty in there! I imagine it will the same set in London tonight. One thing I really can’t criticise on this tour is there doesn’t seem to be any filler or low points in the set. The way the set has been planned with older classics and new material spread quite evenly so the set flows well. I think the Violence material has been very well received and to be honest it is an album that sounds cracking live. A bit sad that we reach the end tonight but Brixton Academy is always a great venue and i’m sure thry’ll finish in style tonight.

Thank you to manfromdelmonte for the tour updates which have been a great read. Enjoy London everyone and really hope the technical issues of the past London gigs don't crop up tonight. Hope there is something special for the last night.
I agree that Violence songs have been well received. At Manchester there was a lot of singing of the new(ish) material which is a nice change as that is a venue I often find lots of talkers just waiting for the big hits.

A bit sad that we reach the end tonight but Brixton Academy is always a great venue and i’m sure they’ll finish in style tonight. That pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly. My second time seeing editors here after a perfect gig at the dome in 2010 - I think this gig was actually busier and was good to see a large amount of youngsters in the crowd. I also drew comparisons to the Albert hall at the time as i think it was my next editors gig after the Editors Albert hall gig - pinnacle of mk1 Editors career. I was dead centre about four people back from the front and after a bit of tension from people staking there place things got going pretty quickly. It was a fast moving set and the only downside to this was there seemed to be less time to acknowledge band members (ie nods of approval / double thumbs up to Russ) between each song but as long as they know we’re still loving it that’s the main thing. I’m sure it happens more at the dome than anywhere else but like tmfd said it got busy by the end - 5 excited happy bouncing people joined the pit for the encore - why weren’t they there before? Maybe the racing rats was the trigger track to get them forward? In that respect an encore full of old favourites worked well as it would have been frustrating if people joined the front then left when old songs came and went. PS. Tom has pinched Russ’s trademark “two thumbs fresh” thanks. PPS. Was Russ really drinking Rose wine and water? He’s changed. PPPS. Has Russ reduced the number of 1080s from his dance moves or was it just due to a smaller stage? Still got it. Still came out on a high. Still fear a time when editors retire and I have nothing to look forward to in life (in a live music sense at least!)
