So Editors will be playing in Mexico in November, right after reuniting in Scotland during October to try out some new songs.
My question is whether should we expect new material on these two dates (and maybe some older stuff)? Are they going to test some songs live? And do you expect Tom and the band to give us some hints during their time in Scotland through twitter or facebook?
My personal opinion is that we may hear something new, if this "something new" goes well on the rehearsals, so I´m hoping that this time away runs smoothly for the band and that Elliot brings something new and good to the table, now that he is coming back.
So, what do you think? Is it to soon to speculate?

I definitely think we'll get some Twitter updates when they'll be away recording. At least from Tom, but maybe Justin and the rest tweet as well.
No idea about new songs in Mexico. But I think they may bring small changes to the setlist again. They revised the order of the songs between the mini tour in the spring and the summer festivals, and played with the order of the songs during the summer as well (like opening a couple of shows with Nothing). Some songs were gone (ITL, Camera) between spring shows and the summer, Someone Says got added to the setlist again towards the end of the summer... And The Phone Book got replaced by The Weight.
They seemed inspired and eager to get to the studio in the last few interviews where they mentioned the new record. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed those sessions go well! I feel going to the studio so soon after having ended the tour is a good thing cause they're still high on the energy of the live shows...

Well they've done it before - (Bones , The Weight of the world , No sound but the wind , 2hs , The sting, Formaldehyde , A ton of love to name a few : all played live before they were recorded) - As a band you're always excited about new songs and if you're really happy with how they sound , you're eager to know what the response of the audience will be - however Editors have become a "name" in some parts of the globe and with all the social media and recording possibilities during concerts (mobile etc ..) it's possible that their record company won't be too happy about it and willa dvice not to do so. With the Kiel (Rolling Stone Weekender) we have a 3rd possibility.
