14 Autumns, 15 Winters. Forget The Night Ahead. No One Can Ever Know.
And now an yet-to-be titled album set to be released in late 2014. Anyone have any news or updates regarding the new album?
So far, I've read that James wrote the album as if it was going to be the last album he would write and that The Twilight Sad would ever record (http://www.theskinny.co.uk/music/features/307360-this_could_the_last_time_twilight_sad_in_studio)
Also, It seems there have only been two tracks that they've played live: "It Never Was the Same" and "Last January". While both songs have been played acoustically, "Last January" seems to be the only one that has been played at live gigs as a full band.
I'm anxious to listen to their new material in full.

Last January sounds amazing - I don't think it'll be the last Twilight Sad album but it does sound iffy considering he said he wrote it as if it would be. It's kind of a weird statement

Last January sounds amazing - I don't think it'll be the last Twilight Sad album but it does sound iffy considering he said he wrote it as if it would be. It's kind of a weird statement I think he just took the situation of the band and realized that it could all end soon, without warning. James had noted (I think after the NOCEV remixes came out) that they hadn't been invited to festivals because they were not a "new" band, as it seems a lot of festivals seem to sign up new talent just because they're "new" and leave the older bands out in the cold. Or maybe he's just worried that they're not as successful as they would like to to be/should be? Whatever it was, this album could be their best stuff yet (or at least, I'm hoping it is).

Yeah it seems they've adapted to the whole synth/guitar mixture sound really smoothly judging from the new song I agree - this album could be some of their best work but I've loved every album of theirs so far (even the bonus alternate versions of songs on some releases) but I guess we'll see soon

Does anyone happen to have the early version of "Here it Never Snowed" (Which was also named "Jimmy Dee" in some cases)? That or if anyone can direct me to where I can find early version of songs/demos?

What day exactly is it? Knowing it's October isn't enough - I wanna know the exact time to the very second I can get my greedy hands on new Twilight Sad material

Very excited for this album, especially after they released "There's a girl in the corner".

I'm just gonna say that the closer, Sometimes I Wished I Could Fall Asleep, reminds me of how AEHAS ended with Well Worn Hand.
It's probably one of the most haunting and saddest tracks I've ever heard.

live show review: this is the 2nd time i've seen them and the first time as a whole band. the first time they were a bit stripped down 3 piece. the full band sound is immense! the guitars were very echo-y and actually kinda drowned out the vocals a bit but there was no denying james graham's vocal range. he reminded me a bit of ian curtis with the spastic passion dancing/twitching. they had the lights extremely dim so there were no cell phone photos to be had.
um im generally terrible at reviews. it was a good show though. wish the vocals had been louder but still good.

Super late because of reasons but:
The Airport: 10/10. Best New Song 2015. In seriousness, the song is beautiful.
HOWEVER, I'm not a fan of "There's a Girl in the corner" version Robert Smith did. It's just kind of watered down and forgettable.

Before this tour I knew the name Twilight Sad but hadn't heard anything by them. I've really enjoyed their sets this tour. Their second song, January, has probably been my favourite of either bands this tour. I'll definitely watch them in Birmingham on their upcoming tour.
