Editors will appear in the Belgian talkshow Vandaag next Tuesday and do an "exclusive mini showcase" in the show's studio for a small audience. Fellow Belgians, you can win a pair of tickets if you know the answer to this very difficult question here: www.een.be/vandaag/win-een-duoticket-voor-exclusief-optreden-van-editors ("50 years".... yes the band started out when the original members were about -12 (minus twelve) years old. makes perfect sense.) Rest of the world, I'll see if I can find working streaming links and otherwise it will be made available after the broadcast

So the stream is geo-blocked outside Belgium it seems, but it might work with some proxy magic. Here's the link (it's the first channel, Eén): www.vrt.be/vrtnu/livestream/ show starts at 9:57pm CEST (oddly specific) but the music guests are always on towards the end, so let's say about half an hour later. They'll play one song during the show and then some more after the broadcast for the people in the room. oh and it will be made available afterwards (the show, don't know about the extra songs) so I can rip it tomorrow. If you spot me in the background, my mission to hide somewhere out of the view of the cameras might have failed.

Not quite, but Editors fans are wonderful people and I’m glad I know them. It was great fun. The show is still quite new and I don’t watch it that often so I might be mistaken, but I believe they usually don’t have non-Dutch speaking guests sit at the table for the whole show. This time they did (and the band had an interpreter translate what was said in their in-ear monitor so they could follow the discussion, otherwise it would’ve been a bit silly) so that was nice. One of the other guests also turned out to be a big Editors fan. And apparently I even managed to sit somewhere where the cameras don’t film much, great success. Weird moment during the after broadcast part when the band visibly wanted to do an encore but the audience warmer lady already wanted to chase us out of the studio. I was about to jump up haha but then she noticed and let them play another song. Also, Tom is a liar: said he was a bit croaky and out of practise, then proceeded to hit every note perfectly as usual. Tsss Setlist: Papillon No Sound But The Wind Munich Smokers A Ton Of Love I’ll try to get it online tomorrow. The extra songs were streamed on Facebook if I understood well

1 st performance with Elliot and Justin was on Werchter ? They played twice in Birmingham prior to the Werchter gig. (26 th and 27th of June - I was there on one of them(as was Jason)). Any other suggestions of songs asks Tom to Jason . Yeah answers Jason Evolve and Rotate . I quite like those too Tom replies . Unless there some backcatalogue of editors songs I'm unaware off , they were just joking around .

No, the subtitler got confused and now it looks like he invented some song titles haha, if you listen very closely you'll hear he actually meant he'd like them to rotate some old b-sides in the setlists. But mostly You Are Fading (and I agree wholeheartedly)
