One month to decide... I'm really curious.

ITLAOTE is what got me into Editors. Always knew the singles of the first two albums but with Depeche Mode being my favourite band of all time, Flood's inclusion gripped me.
Now that Violence is out and after a good few listens, this has got to be my 2nd favourite. I loved In Dream but Violence sounds like more of a continuation of ITLAOTE. Perhaps it's too early to hold it in such high regard and maybe I'm still in the honeymoon period.
I think 6 albums is enough of a body of work to now declare that I might be in love with Editors now more than I ever have with DM :-)

You should do this poll within a year or so again . Judging from the votes for now ID and TWOYL don't score that well . I don't think it will get as much votes as now . Listened to this album several times now . If this album (songs and production) was released by another band I would never have bought . Following the band for 12 years and appreciate them for their excellent live performances but with this album ; only 4 or 5 songs on this album are ok . I don't understand people who say that after several listens they begin to really like it . If I listen to an album it must grab me immediately , give me goosebumps . This one doesn't and I don't have to need to like it either beecause it's Editors . But that's only my opinion ofcourse. Glad other people enjoy it .

The poll is actually open until December but I think that's better, I can't rank brand new albums among the rest so I'm going to wait a couple of months to vote. I think Violence might make it to my top 2 though

Wish the guys would see this results when the poll finishes (providing it stays like that) - I hope they continue this electronic direction.

I love in dream and to be honest I never have (I don’t think anybody can) really compare Editors albums. All are very different. I don’t actually have a favourite album. In Dream was great for different reasons like The Back Room was good.
All are art just in different forms. They haven’t had a bad one yet.

I remember Foals saying that album #2 was so different from their first that it gave them license to do whatever they wanted on their third as there was literally no expectation to stick to one style. The same goes for Editors. Personally I hope they exaggerate the direction that Violence took even further for their next. Heavier guitars, harsher drum machines, processed vocals etc. Sort of a cross between NIN and Radiohead haha

ITLAOTE and ID. Mix and match. Fun to see one of these polls again, been awhile.

How could I be the only person who voted for In Dream honestly I had another listen to ID and yeah its a good album, I'm appreciating it more now than I did at the time. I think because we were drip fed so many tracks from that album leading up to the release, there wasn't as much there to indulge in when it became the complete listen at the time. I really didn't like life is a fear either which I guess was showcasing the album. Like the song just not where they took it.

I'm in for ITLAOTE. This album just meant so much to me, and cemented me as a fan. TBR runner up - its got to be the most consistently brilliant album. The rest have great moments, but some not great also.

Like the song just not where they took it. I was with you on LIAF, seemed like a weirdly bland track for them. It's held up surprisingly well though, it was a bad single but fits well enough on the album. Though it probably should've featured later on in the tracklist, if they featured it at all. The only song I don't love on repeated listens is At All Cost. I appreciate what they were going for but it feels a bit nothing. And All The Kings could've been arranged a lot better, the piano version showed so much promise. These are minor niggles though.
