The band are playing an acoustic gig in Amsterdam for only 50 people (25 pairs) in a couple of weeks. As usual with this kind of thing winning tickets is like winning the lottery, details on www.npo3fm.nl/nieuws/3fm/388760-3fm-organiseert-akoestische-show-editors they’re handing out tickets on air and online so you probably need to understand Dutch to at least stand a small chance. Hopefully they’ll stream it in full with video and everything, then this is great news for all of us after all

Why can't they just pick actual fans by selecting winners based on their stories? It would mean so much more for them to be there, then a random guy/girl who happened to listed to the radio at the right time.

It would obviously take 3FM more time and it'd make the whole thing less ~interactive~ for them I guess, but in the end you'd have a room full of actual fans instead of a bunch of people who thought "hm, this is the Papillon song right? let me send a text to the radio and I might get lucky" and some fans that got incredibly lucky. Back in the day, like 10 years ago, they at least once gave away a couple of tickets to a radio session on the official forum but it looks like that kind of stuff died together with that forum (RIP)

two other record stores that have posted something similar: so I guess more will follow and it will be a gig for a bit more than 50 people (the venue capacity is 450 apparently)

I already ordered the coloured vinyl and the 7" box set at the official store (probably 5 minutes after Black Gold was announced). Just emailed them to cancel the coloured vinyl and ordered that one from Platomania (they also give away tickets), and ordered the double CD from Kroese.

Thank you sooooo much for posting this one here! I just got word that I actually won a pair of tickets thanks to LFL Magazine. Which I would never have heard of if I hadn't checked this page. I can't believe I'm actually going to an acoustic Editors show on Thursday waaaaah!  So hyped!
