I've been to a couple of those BST Hyde Park things over the past couple of years, so if anyone needs any advice, let me know. I have a hunch that Editors might be on the second stage, playing a 45 minute set between Interpol and The Cure. They're 4th on the bill which is exactly where White Lies were on The Killers poster, and they headlined the second stage between Elbow and The Killers. BST Hyde Park is great if you want a day of non-stop music, but not so great if you have your heart set on a front row place for your favourite band, which might mean missing other bands you want to see just to save your space. I predicted from the off they would only have 45 minutes. I did get the stage wrong, but credit to Tom who was right after all even though I've doubted him for three and a half months. The main stage is actually great for me this time around, the only act on other stages I'd like to see is The Twilight Sad and I could probably afford to sacrifice them if necessary. (Info is available on the official festival app for those who are interested.)

Anybody attending Juicy Beats next weekend? The line-up is quite horrible, Editors are enclosed by hip hop acts (or whatever it‘s called nowadays) and I feel like they could do with their fanbase

A rare headlining spot at a UK festival announced - Godiva in Coventry on Saturday 1st September. It's a free festival. I've not been for about 4 or 5 years but it's always a decent day. They'll do about a 75 minute set I think. Pretty sure the curfew is 10:30pm.
The Saturday is a really weird line-up. I'm disappointed to be missing Blood Red Shoes and Little Comets earlier in the afternoon while I'm at the football. After that though it's Professor Green, Gabrielle and Jonah Blue! I'd never heard of the latter before I must say but, yeah, it's a bit of a random mix. Great that they're doing a local festival anyway.

A while ago there were mentions of another US/Mexico leg in September. Since that's in less than a month... that's not happening, right? Or were they talking about September 2019?
Also I'm wondering which festival is keeping them from announcing the European dates for October/November... Highfield? TOdays? I want to knooooooow (I'm so curious about what they're going to do in Belgium since it's too soon for another big arena show)

Just a thought but as they haven't yet announced European tour dates for Oct/Nov (it's getting pretty late) could it be that they might decide to postpone them let's say to Feb/March 2019? Taking a little time to rest after the UK tour in October? As for the US/Mexico dates honest it's quite unlikely unless their new line of action is to catch their fans by last minute surprise and having fun seeing who are the most dedicated ones willing to follow them with only a week's notice...

(rofl) taking some time off would really make sense to me, but I don't know, I think a lot of November tours are still getting announced around this time so my money is still on autumn 2018

In spring they did only 3 gigs in the Uk when the album came out - that's probably the reason why there is a proper UK tour in autumn . In spring they toured all over Europe , did a good bunch of festivals so I don't see why they would tour Europe all over again with the same album . It would be more likely they would do Australia or so : it's summer over there but I don't know how big their fanbase is nowadays

Someone from the management or label mentioned 8 or 9 shows in Germany in the autumn and the band have mentioned 1 in Italy, France, Belgium and Poland (I think). So I guess it'll be a smaller tour of just those countries + The Netherlands probably

I've just had an email through saying that Editors show in bristol on 8th Oct has moved venue - it is now taking place at The Marble Factory, all original tickets are still valid. When I googled the venue it appears to be in almost the same place as the original venue...

Great show in Turin last night. A lot of energy and a lot of smiles. Magazine is such a tune, that song alone made the trip worth it tbh. I'd just like to share this little detail on the drumstick I got. What a band.

There's a whole load of new European dates announced for November and December. I would imagine the 2 Brussels dates will probably finish off the touring for the Violence album. I can't see them doing anything else in the UK after October's tour. They'll certainly have been very busy this year.
