Live violence sounds sublime, can't wait to hear the recording. I can't say I have really bonded with the first two singles. I prefer Magazine over Hallelujah if pushed, but haven't really found myself wanting to listen to them repeatedly, like some obsessions I have had with former editors tracks/albums.
This track has me excited though. Interested & intrigued and 'chomping at the bit' again to hear the album. All the things a good song should make you feel in fact... I suspect overall it might be a bit hit and miss for me again, but keen to find the hits.

I really like Violence and Nothingness, don't like Darkness at the Door that much yet. I think it's a bit too simple and repetitive for me, I understand why one of the reviews called it a filler track. But maybe I like it a lot better when I've heard the studio version.

From what I heard, at first listen, Nothingness and Darkness At The Door will surely become two of my ever favourites.. Both stunning, even from a low quality live recording! For what concerns the title-track, instead, I need to have the studio version to understand it well. 3 days to go  Hope they ship my signed CD as soon as they can!!!

On the hunt for snippets on CD shop websites, but none of the usual suspects have them (Juno, Cede.CH). Soo secretive this one, hope it lives up to the hype on Friday!

Wow, I just had a few listens over at Lemmings place. Gary Uk did a fine job as always!
I love Violence and Nothingness but I'm not so sure about Darkness At The Door - it seams a bit ordinary at first listen.

darkness at the door took a few listens for me (as always) but that chorus creeps its way back into my mind and refuses to let me forget it
nothingness is beautifully dark
i feel like i can't make a judgement on violence yet though - i can't really tell what's going on in the background as it happens with most live shows

SO EXCITED jesus i'm dead ---> Violence!!!!! Can't stop listening to it ( thanks Gary and Drew!) Have no opinion about the other new songs yet. It's difficult to explain, but for me Violence is the very first song since years that connects musically with the "good old days eds" and eds now. I think it has everything to do with the guitarplay of Justin? I dont know if it makes any sense, but I don't care, I'm dead
