Wonder if we'll hear any left overs from In Dream...

i think that first they make a jam session, demo-ing, recording new songs is too fast in this moment

Been thinking about album 6 and I have a few thoughts. 1) was the album half written etc as some tracks were never released and the ideas might be being finished off, I mean The Pulse kinda popped up but also sounds very complete as if they had it ready to stick on In Dream
2) are they moving fast and striking whilst the iron is hot as the last tour (thank god & of course Editors hard work) has been brilliant for the band, so maybe they want to hurry up with album 6 to keep the flow going?
3) The sounds, samples & pictures we are getting I think are past demo stage, maybe they are playing and fine tuning before recording very early next year or who knows later on this year?
4) I have been in and around the gigs and forums for 10 years and I think Editors are the best band ever, they constantly change things and even after all this time are not predictable and surprise the most hardcore of us! I just hope that in another 10 years we are talking about album 12!

Yeah, agreed DannyManta. I think they're doing more than demo-ing. I'm just going to copy in something I wrote back in May, cause this thread seems more relevant to it now...
"Russell said, in an interview last year, something along the lines of 'when we finish our 6th album next year, we'll have done as many without Chris as with'. Obviously he was speaking in 2015 and therefore referring to 2016, but I wouldn't be surprised if that schedule's been pushed back a bit now after they had to lay low for a while whilst Tom was getting better. However, at the time it was the word 'finish' that was intriguing, implying that they'd already started.
So I'm wondering if The Pulse, along with other songs listed that didn't appear on the album (He Comes From The Quiet, Dream Dark as Your Heaven, maybe The Wind On The Water - although I feel this may be an earlier version of The Pulse) have been at least partially completed and held back for the next album, perhaps because they didn't fit.
And if I was really laying my wish list out, it would be something taking the In Dream sound to grittier territory. Preferably produced by Flood!"

Flood really brought something to their sound, I desperately want Flood to produce Album 6.
